Our Story.

Feathery Knots began with a simple discovery: the joy of creating something with my own two hands.

I first discovered macramé during a particularly challenging chapter of my life, following my experience with cancer in 2017. What started as a creative outlet soon became something much more meaningful. I found comfort in the rhythm of knotting, a sense of calm in the process, and a renewed appreciation for the simple pleasure of making.

​

As a self-taught artist, I became fascinated by the possibilities of working with fibre. Experimenting with textures, exploring different techniques and developing my own designs allowed me to discover a creativity I hadn't known was there.

​

What began as a personal passion gradually grew into Feathery Knots.

​

Today, Feathery Knots brings together two things I love: creating distinctive, handcrafted fibre art and sharing the experience of making with others.

Through bespoke pieces, I explore how natural materials, texture and thoughtful design can bring warmth, character and individuality to a space. Each creation is an opportunity to make something personal, designed to be appreciated for years to come.

Alongside my artwork, I've developed a collection of DIY macramé kits, thoughtfully designed to make creativity accessible and enjoyable. Whether you're discovering macramé for the first time or returning to a craft you love, each kit is an invitation to slow down, unwind and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something beautiful.

While Feathery Knots has evolved, the philosophy behind it remains the same. I believe that creativity should be enjoyed, that beautiful things deserve to be made with care, and that sometimes the most rewarding part of creating is the process itself.
